For 26 years, Latino Union of Chicago has been building power alongside day laborers, domestic workers, and immigrant working communities through organizing, education, advocacy, and collective action.
This year’s anniversary celebration, Raíces y Poder, will honor the roots, resilience, labor, and leadership that continue to shape our communities and the city of Chicago every day.
More than a traditional fundraiser, this event will be a community-centered celebration that brings together worker members, longtime allies, labor partners, supporters, organizers, artists, and community leaders for an evening rooted in storytelling, culture, movement history, and collective power.
Throughout the night, guests will experience visuals, worker testimonies, community art, and reflections on the impact Latino Union has had over the past 26 years, while also helping us invest in the future of our organizing and worker-led movement.
Funds raised through this event will directly support Latino Union’s organizing work, workforce development programs, leadership development, worker rights advocacy, and community support efforts.
